#5: Skin Edit - Unboxing Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Pudding Cream

When I bought this I was running out of my absolute favourite Skin Ceramic Donkey Milk & Argan Oil Steam Cream; now I have officially ran out of it so this unboxing came just in time.

So I bought this a while ago on SaSa.com when it was on sale along with the other Papa Recipe's mask. Honestly I have a love-hate relationship with the e-comm site because they don't always stock the products that I love and want to buy again. Like that steam cream. I won't get over that.

Here's the thing - SaSa is a massive (I mean, ginormous) drugstore that, in my opinion, beats all the UK drugstores here with the amount of affordable products and special sale items they stock, flash sales and so forth. With their e-comm site I found that I can order from Asia and deliver to the UK. Besides from the fact you need to be spending USD 200 to get free delivery, it's rather handy, assuming the products are in stock, except sometimes the products you buy in-store you can't buy online (like Wonderbath Salon de tte).

So anyway, I got this whilst it was on sale, so it definitely wasn't £41.50 like it is on Amazon, but of course, there are other sites that would sell Asian beauty products for a decent price. I'm still looking around and trying to order from different sites so any reviews/list will have to come later - bear with me!

But I digress; I haven't used this product on my face yet as my last scoop of steam cream is still waiting for me, but I've tried a little on my hand.

When you read "cream", you think of something that is...not a jelly, which is what this is more like. But when you rub it into the skin it actually feels more oily rather than a water-based gel. So it's lightweight on the skin, perfect for the summer. If you have dry/dehydrated skin, you should probably apply another later of this on the skin.

This cream contains honey and propolis extract, which is great for calming/soothing your skin, reducing inflammation and nourishing it. Just in time as I've been having some red patches and spots on my skin lately and not quite sure why (it could be sensitive to an oil product I've used recently, or byproduct of me eating crisps....).

The cream gets absorbed into the skin pretty quickly - but remember I have no additional products on the back of my hand - and instantly hydrates the skin. You can (maybe) see the left hand is more dewy than the right, where the skin is drier and doesn't have any glow to it.

You can also see that spatula that comes with it slowly sinking into the jar like quicksand. I love spatulas, but I'm skeptical to how much I'd use it because I'm fairly lazy. How many times I've ignored a spatula and went straight in with my fingers, I don't know.

I will end this post here and maybe come back again in couple of weeks after I've tried this out. I am very excited though because I hate moisturisers that are really heavy on the skin, and if this is lightweight yet high performance (like my steam cream), this would be absolutely perfect for the summer.

Have any of you tried this and what do you think of it? Do you hate heavy moisturisers like I do or do you swear by them?
